Asia Century Capital holds two operating companies. Through its Capital Connections™ platform it connects listed companies with institutional shareholders globally. In addition it provides Intermediated Research™ (evolved from PSQ Analytics, a research service built for the London Stock Exchange) through its Irideus.org research platform.
Capital Connections is an investor communications/corporate access platform, using broadcast quality virtual access to supplement or replace conventional road show activities within investor relations campaigns. It cuts down on the cost and time, and carbon footprint, of these international activities. It extends the reach of investor relations campaigns substantially.
Through 2010 and 2011 the company has continued to develop and refine the Capital Connections platform in a pilot scheme for SE Asia issuers, targeting N. American institutional investors.
In 1Q 12, Capital Connections is set to launch its v2.0 platform which uniquely combines features of broadcast TV and videoconference technologies. Its new technology allows installation anywhere in the world, with remote robotic control from a central production facility. It allows issuers to reach their audiences on demand and Capital Connections to collect content from these global blue-chip companies, for distribution internationally.
The Group is founder-funded. Issuer sites which are likely to produce the most valuable data content will be funded through a bond issue, in order that Capital Connections will own/control the associated revenues. £80,000 per site is required, with an initial target of 10 sites. The bond will carry a basic coupon of 12% but with a variable additional coupon rising to 20%. The bonds will be non-transferable with a three year maturity.
The Group is early stage, with international operations. The CEO & CFO have each previously held these positions, respectively, at FSA authorised & regulated AIM listed companies.
